Mike Hewitt - Sad News Update

With great sadness Sheffield Tigers have heard that 88 year old Mike died on Friday 22nd August after having health issues for a while. Mike joined Tigers in the late 70's after relocating to Sheffield when Midland Bank moved their computer operation up from London.  He was a fly-half and played for many of Tiger's teams before later becoming a stalwart of the VP's (Vets) side. He was the club Treasurer for over 25 years, retiring from that role in 2010/11. He was honoured by the club as an Honorary Life Member for his services to Tigers.

Mike will be greatly missed by his many friends at Tigers. Our thoughts are with Janet and all his family.
